Inspiration Against Defeat

So, Prop 8 was upheld in our state yesterday. It's mind boggling, it really is. We can't change it instantly, but what we can do is be ourselves, live our lives and put our money in the RIGHT places. Support queer friendly stores and companies and the sheer force of American capitialism will be enough for the American "people" to change their minds.

I can tell you that Hot Topic, where my fiance works, supports domestic partnerships and is run by several "out" higher ups. Yes, they are quite large and have some questionable buying practices, but one issue at a time =) Lush has amazing, healthy products AND is very outspoken about gay rights!
