Virtual Wall of Babes
When I was 12, I had wallpaper made of cute boy pin ups. It was absurd...Jonathan Brandis, Mike Vitar...and so many more. My older brother dubbed this fiasco the "Wall of Babes". Today, I was reminded of my WOB past when my girl Frankie sent me over the below images. I now dub this blog segment, Virtual Wall of Babes! Since my Buffy obsession is epic, I'm starting with my 2 current favorites. Delicious.

Every year, the Goth kids of the world (or...Southern California) meet up at the happiest place on earth. Sound unlikely? It actually makes a super fun pair. Bat's Day in the Park is a gathering of spookies from around the country held at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. The weekend includes concerts, vendors, and so much more! This year, I will be vending with Pink Addict, VersAtelier will have a booth, and Forgetmelots and 3ssica will be slingin' cards. Saturday will be a whirlwind day of products...and hopefully some cash along the way.
Sunday is the actual day...I have NO idea what I'm wearing, but I've put together a list of must haves for the long day at the park.
1. SUNSCREEN. You're goth, right? Who wants a tan, burn, or freckle?
2. PARASOL. Goes hand in hand with #1. Keep you head cool and look adorable whilst acting responsible.

3. COMFY FOOTWEAR. Don't sacrifice style! Plan you outfit around your footwear and you won't have to feel like a putz in a corset with cross trainers. I'm a big fan of flat maryjanes, comfy combat boots and ballet flats for this occasion. Cyber kids? Throw up some worn in platform sneakers and you should be good to go.

4. BACKPACK. Handbags and box purses may look cute, but you'll be ready to throw it into the Pirates of the Carribean before the night is over. A medium size backpack is the ONLY way to go. Messenger bags are good too...anything that's easily comfy and hands free.

5. CAMERA. This event is really a site. Hundreds of goth kids smooshed with middle class families...who doesn't want to capture that? Bring a small, lower-end camera...or your cellphone could do!
6. SUNGLASSES. This is a no-brainer. It's So-Cal, kiddies.
7. POCKET MIRROR. Chances are, you've got some form of make up on. What better time to touch up than in line for Space Mountain??

MOST IMPORTANT: Please don't be boring. This is a time to dress up and be RIDICULOUS! Here are some sample outfits for inspiration:

OPI Sephora: Digital Diva Collection
OPI makes high quality nail polish with intense, saturated colors. This collection is no exception...and check out the fun names! I need "Techno Girl" (the lighter pink)...but I'm also a big fan of "Lost Without My GPS".
Little Boots
I absolutely love everything I've heard so far from Little Boots. Her YouTube Channel is full of behind the scenes gems, but this is my favorite. She sounds so great...and this is just a casual video...not something you see many artists doing. Enjoy!

My New PJ's!
Ever since I started working from home, I pictured me sipping tea and lounging in some adorable, yet stereotypically girlie PJ's. Thus, I was on a quest to find something that was a) cute and b) in plus sizes. After a bit of unfruitful searching, I found Frankie & Johnny pj's. They have tons of adorable prints in sizes Small-3X. After much deliberation, I selected the Sweetie print in lavender.
They arrived yesterday and I ran to go put them on (yeah, so it was 4pm...sue me). I couldn't stop staring down at the pattern. The flannel is amazingly soft and comfy, a concern I had with a non-stretch fabric. These are not cheap pajamas...but you absolutely get what you pay for!
If you are an avid PJ wearer...I recommend getting a pair...or 4!

Did some shopping...
I did a bit of shopping through the Old Navy plus size clearance section this morning. Got 2 Polka Dotted Hoodies, 1 Pair of Jammie pants (hello working from home gear), and a crazy neck-lined top. The hoodies are NOT in my normal color palette, but at $20 a pop for plus size...I could NOT resist. I'm thinking about adding some fun patches (ice cream, cupcakes) or cute, heart shaped buttons...even a hoodie bow, a la Hello Kitty!
Old Navy has TONS of great plus size basics...if you are into color overload, that is.
